Dawson Turner gives Bethune-Cookman a towering lefty look with ground-ball bite
In the 2026 season, Dawson Turner has shown a high-variance, power-lefty profile for Bethune-Cookman: a 6-foot-8 graduate student who can miss bats, generate grounders, and work as a starter or bullpen weapon. He has posted 8 strikeouts in 4.2 innings in one early-season report, and another preview noted a 69.2% ground-ball rate plus a fastball sitting 89-91 mph and touching 92. The downside is command and run prevention have been inconsistent, so he profiles as a fit for teams that value projectable size, angle, and upside over polish.
