Boyd Sorensen brings Big Sky-caliber edge upside to Weber State
Sorensen is a 6-foot-4, 235-pound redshirt freshman defensive end with clear pass-rush upside and a strong high-school production profile, including 118 tackles, 32.5 tackles for loss, and 12 sacks at Sugar-Salem, plus first-team All-State honors in football and track. Weber State lists him as a multi-sport athlete and a gray-shirt transfer who sat out 2024 at BYU, so the appeal is projection: length, power, and developing rush ability rather than proven college stats yet. If you want a young, athletic edge with room to add mass and grow into his frame, he is a worthwhile developmental fit.
