In the 2025 season, Tayshaun Davis appeared in limited action for UTRGV but already showed up on the stat sheet with a tackle against TWES, while the Vaqueros listed him as a 6-foot-2, 230-pound sophomore DE in 2026.[6][8][11] His biggest selling points are not gaudy college numbers yet, but his verified high-school production—31 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, and two District Defensive Lineman of the Year honors—plus a compact frame and edge size that suggest room to grow into a more disruptive role.[13]
