In the 2023-24 season, John Ukomadu gave Eastern Kentucky a steady, energetic frontcourt presence, averaging 5.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks while finishing second in the 2024 College Slam Dunk Championship — a nice clue that his athleticism is not just for highlight reels.[2][3] He’s a long, physical 6'7" forward who can rebound, protect the rim and run the floor, and his pro jump to the G League backed up the value of that skill set: in 2024-25 he averaged 8.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and shot 53% overall and 46% from three in 41 games.[3][4]
