Versatile, scrappy BC receiver with two-way toughness
Nate Johnson III entered Boston College as a 3-star recruit and a multi-sport type of athlete from Clearwater Central Catholic, where he starred at both wide receiver and defensive back. In the 2023 season, he played in eight games, logged one catch for 11 yards and five carries for 29 yards, showing the kind of gadget versatility coaches love. He redshirted in 2024 after appearing in one game, and Boston College also noted he worked at cornerback during bowl prep, which hints at his defensive instincts and team-first flexibility. He fits best as a depth piece with speed, toughness, and versatility rather than a volume target.
