Ryan Sheehy brings swing-and-miss stuff and early-season volatility to ODU’s rotation
Sheehy, a 6-foot-1 sophomore RHP for Old Dominion in the 2026 season, flashes real bat-missing ability—he logged 14 strikeouts in 8.1 innings across his first five appearances—but the command and consistency have been uneven, with an 8.31 ERA in the early March stretch before a two-inning, scoreless midweek win over Norfolk State. He profiles as a competitive arm with upside, plus a proven college track record from Hartford, where he was a Freshman All-Conference/rookie award winner; if your staff can sharpen the strike-throwing, there’s starter-quality juice here.
