Redshirt freshman WVU DL with real in-state upside
Goins is a 6-3, 257-pound West Virginia native who arrived as a preferred walk-on and earned an early reputation as a disruptive high school defender, posting 60 tackles, 15 sacks, 27 tackles for loss, and four forced fumbles at Jefferson High. At WVU, he redshirted in 2024 and has only one collegiate appearance so far, so his value is about long-term developmental upside rather than immediate production. His differentiator is a proven pass-rush motor and local, under-the-radar recruiting win; the main question is whether he can climb a deep defensive line rotation.[3][4][5]
