UC Riverside’s David Gibbs brings steady sophomore pop, speed, and clutch run production
In the 2026 season, UC Riverside outfielder David Gibbs has been a steady everyday bat, hitting .260 with 34 hits, 16 RBI, 19 runs, and 4 stolen bases across 47 games with 42 starts. He’s not a loud-tool headline machine, but he shows value in ways coaches love: multiple 3-for-5 games, a three-RBI burst at UC San Diego, and enough speed to pressure defenses. If you want a reliable, competitive corner-outfield piece who can contribute without needing the spotlight, Gibbs fits the bill.
