High-upside freshman lefty with real prospect buzz
Frusco arrived at Clemson as a first-year freshman and was already tagged by Perfect Game as the No. 51 freshman in the nation and a No. 13 ACC draft prospect for 2028, which tells you the Tigers see serious ceiling here[1][3]. In 2026, he was one of three freshman left-handers competing for innings, and his early Clemson work showed a live arm with a 3.38 ERA across 2.2 innings, plus two strikeouts and zero walks[3][11]. At 6-foot-4, he brings the classic power-lefty look, and his decision to bypass pro ball after being drafted underscored strong commitment and confidence[4][5].
