Tia Shelling gives WKU a steady, efficient backcourt presence
Shelling is a 5'8" guard who brings balanced production and efficiency for Western Kentucky, averaging 6.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in the 2025-26 season while shooting 40.7% from the field.[2] She also showed scoring upside with an 11-point, perfect 4-for-4 outing in WKU’s Senior Day game, her eighth double-digit performance of the season.[1] Earlier in her WKU career, she flashed a bigger offensive ceiling with a sophomore season averaging 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game, suggesting a reliable combo guard who can score, facilitate, and fit cleanly into a team-first system.[6]
