John Carlson brings ace-level strikeout stuff to CBU
In the 2025-26 season, John Carlson arrived at California Baptist after a dominant high school run, including a 1.89 ERA, 118 strikeouts in 66.2 innings, and a .143 opponent batting average; he also drew national attention with 2 no-hitters and top-50 national rankings in one stat category. That profile screams power arm: he misses bats, limits damage, and shows the kind of competitive edge coaches love in a Friday-night right-hander. If you want upside and strikeout punch, he’s absolutely worth the look.
