Jartavius Flounoy brought heat as a freshman disruptor at Georgia State
In the 2025 season, Georgia State DT Jartavius Flounoy flashed real juice as a true freshman, finishing with 22 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, and a team-leading 3.0 sacks before transferring to Syracuse in January 2026. He’s a compact, powerful interior defender at about 6-1, 325 who plays with the kind of snap-to-snap disruptive energy coaches love, and his PFF notes suggested a solid run-defense foundation with multiple strong tackling grades. Why care? He’s the type of big-bodied, backfield-poking lineman who can tilt protection and shorten drives if he keeps developing.
