Richmond's A-10 Player of the Week with Elite Bat Control and Defensive Versatility
Michael Elko, a 6'0"/190lb sophomore INF/C for the Richmond Spiders, is a **stat leader** in the 2025 season with a **.311 AVG**, **34 RBI**, and **36 runs**, earning **Atlantic 10 Player of the Week** honors in March 2025 [1][2]. His differentiator is **rare versatility**, seamlessly switching between shortstop and catcher while maintaining **elite bat control** and **high-intensity consistency** that coaches rave about [3][4]. With no reported injury history and a **playoff-ready personality**, Elko is a **low-risk, high-upside fit** for any team needing a **defensive anchor** who can **drive the offense** [2]. He’s the athlete you want when the game hinges on **precision and grit**.
