Matt Mayock gives American a smart, floor-spacing forward with real two-way upside
In the 2025-26 season, Matt Mayock was a key piece for American, starting all 31 games and averaging 8.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 28.9 minutes while ranking second on the team with 10 blocks. His best calling card is his modern forward game: a 6'7" frame, reliable perimeter shooting, and enough length to matter as a defender, plus the poise to handle a heavy workload. He also brings academic discipline and consistency; that usually translates well if a team wants a versatile, low-drama, high-IQ wing-forward.
