Defensive-minded Aztec guard who earned Freshman of the Year honors
Hemsley made an immediate impact at San Diego State, earning Mountain West Freshman of the Year in 2015-16, a signal that his game translated quickly at the college level. He profiles as a competitive, physical guard at 6-3 and 200 pounds with two-way value, showing activity on defense and enough all-around skill to contribute beyond scoring. The main reason to care: he’s the kind of tough, reliable guard coaches trust in pressure settings, and a good fit for teams that value intensity, versatility, and winning habits over flashy box-score production.
