Dual-Threat Upside, Still Waiting for the Breakout
Brenton Toles III is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound quarterback for Hampton who was rated a three-star prospect and built in high school as a true dual threat, finishing his 2023 season with 1,512 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, plus 212 rushing yards and four rushing scores. In college, his role has been limited so far—he redshirted in 2024 and, in his 2025 action at Elon, completed 2 of 3 passes for 19 yards while also adding a rushing attempt and throwing an interception. Why care? He brings athletic juice and playmaking potential; the fit makes sense if a team wants a mobile QB with upside, but he still needs reps and consistency before he looks like a finished product.
