efficient arm, shaky 2025 TD-to-INT mix, and now a backup battle to watch
In the 2025 season, Adam Damante completed 70 of 104 passes (67.3%) for 711 yards with 5 touchdowns and 4 interceptions for New Mexico State, showing he can operate efficiently when asked to step in.[1][7][11] He brings solid size at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds and flashed big-play ability in a 253-yard, 3-touchdown start against UTEP, but his recent camp status matters: reports say he lost the 2026 QB1 battle and enters the year behind Trey Hedden.[1][6][15]
