young Cal Poly linebacker with the frame and profile to grow
Corbin Frutos is a 2026 redshirt freshman linebacker at Cal Poly who checks the size-athleticism box at 6-1, 205 and has a clean college profile so far, with no recorded game action in 2025.[2] The big reason to care is upside: he already has Power-5-style linebacker size for the FCS level, and his recruiting profile lists him as a true linebacker from Temecula’s Chaparral HS, which usually means developmental runway rather than instant polish.[1][12] Right now, he looks like a fit for a team valuing depth, special-teams potential, and long-term coaching upside more than immediate production.[2][10]
