Brooklyn Jones brings reliable defense, academic edge to Minnesota softball
Jones is a versatile **C/OF** for Minnesota whose value starts with consistency, toughness, and dependable defense; in the 2025 season she appeared in 14 games and made three starts, after earning Academic All-Big Ten honors, and her earlier Minnesota highlight was a walk-off run-rule grand slam against Ohio State in 2024[1]. Her profile suggests a player who can contribute without needing the offense to run through her, while still showing real clutch upside and a team-first, high-intensity fit that coaches tend to trust in depth-chart and late-game roles[1].
