steady, high-IQ Illini QB who brought Big Ten depth and leadership
In the 2024 season, Michaux appeared in one game for Illinois and was mostly a steady, low-drama quarterback presence in the room, with his lone collegiate action coming on a kneel-down against Michigan State. He’s a 6-foot-4 former Westlake state champion and Texas state title game offensive MVP who also earned Academic All-Big Ten honors, which tells you a lot about his poise, work ethic, and reliability. He’s the kind of player coaches trust for maturity and preparation more than flash — a fit if you want a smart, experienced locker-room connector with a championship background.
