Brock Blatter gives WSU a big-bodied, power righty with bullpen upside
In 2026, Brock Blatter has been a useful, high-ceiling arm for Washington State: he made his WSU debut with a scoreless first inning at Utah, then delivered a career-high five innings against San Diego State and worked four shutout-ish innings vs. Portland while coming back from injury. The 6-foot-6 right-hander brings size, angle, and strikeout potential, with 15 strikeouts in 9 innings back in 2024 before a missed 2025 season. He looks like the kind of pitcher coaches trust in competitive spots—more “toolsy difference-maker” than polished finished product.
