Brennan Eager brings starter’s poise and left-handed value to Cincinnati’s rotation
In the 2025 season at Louisiana-Monroe, Brennan Eager made 13 starts, posted a 3.79 ERA across 54.2 innings, and struck out 48 while walking just nine, a strong sign of strike-throwing stability from a lefty who can help a staff in multiple roles.[1][4] Cincinnati also used him in 2026 in both starts and relief, including scoreless work early in the year and a three-strikeout outing in fall/exhibition play, which reinforces the view that he can miss bats without getting rattled.[6][14] He looks like a fit for a team that wants command, maturity, and a useful southpaw with proven college experience.[1][12]
