low-usage guard who brings experience and toughness to Jacksonville State
In the 2024-25 context available, Dontay Jackson is a depth guard for Jacksonville State whose value is more about steadiness than splashy box-score fireworks: ESPN lists him at 1.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game with 37.8% shooting, while Jacksonville State’s roster bio shows he has transferred in with junior-college experience and added program experience at JSU.[1][2] The fit question is simple—he looks like a rotational guard who can defend, compete, and keep the offense organized, but he is not currently projecting as a high-volume scoring piece.[1][3]
