experienced Bulldog lefty with swing-and-miss stuff and a proven bullpen track record
Luke Nichols enters 2026 as a graduate-student left-hander for Louisiana Tech after making 27 bullpen appearances in 2025, going 3-2 with a 3.38 ERA, 47 strikeouts in 47.2 innings, and two saves[1]. He also earned Preseason All-Conference USA recognition heading into 2025, which signals league-level respect for his arm[3]. The big appeal: he’s a durable, older reliever who can miss bats and handle leverage, making him a smart fit for teams that value left-handed toughness, innings, and matchup flexibility[1][3].
