Jvonte Brooks brings old-school rebounding juice and foul-drawing grit to Dartmouth
Brooks has been a classic frontcourt pain-in-the-neck for the Big Green: in the 2011-12 season he led Dartmouth with 9.4 points per game, added 6.6 rebounds per game, earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week four times, and was named team MVP; in the following season, before an injury ended it early, he was still giving Dartmouth 7.0 points and 5.6 boards per game. The big differentiator here is his physical, high-motor style—he gets to the line, attacks the glass, and has shown he can be an early-impact rebounder with legitimate interior toughness.
