Michigan’s kickoff specialist with soccer-built leg strength
In the 2025 season, Beckham Sunderland was Michigan’s kickoff specialist, delivering 71 kickoffs with 44 touchbacks; he also handled one punt for 35 yards in the Citrus Bowl after an injury to the starter. He’s a big-legged, highly specialized specialist who came to football after a soccer background, which shows up in his strike consistency and kickoff power. He has limited field-goal experience, but his value is clear: field position, depth flexibility, and a calm plug-and-play profile for special teams.
