Elite pedigree, smooth scoring touch, and still searching for durability
Whitehead is a former five-star wing with real shot-making upside and NBA-level tools, but his value is shaped as much by availability as talent: at Duke in 2022-23, he played 28 games, started seven, and averaged 8.3 points while leading the team by shooting 42.4% from three. He entered college with huge expectations after being named Mr. Basketball USA and the Naismith Prep Player of the Year, and his best fit is a team that can leverage his size, spacing, and scoring instinct while monitoring his health and consistency.
