Josh Outlaw is a contact-first senior bat who keeps showing up in big spots for Illinois State
In the 2026 season, Josh Outlaw has been one of Illinois State’s steadier table-setters, hitting .291 with 46 hits, 20 RBIs, 29 runs, and a .395 on-base percentage through the Redbirds’ 49 games, while also leading the club early in the year with a .478 average during a hot stretch[2][5]. A left-handed senior outfielder, he brings playable speed, gap-to-gap contact, and clutch instincts—he delivered a walk-off double in 2025 and has multiple multi-hit games in 2026[3][4]. He looks like a fit for teams that value mature at-bats, line-drive contact, and low-drama production with a little late-game sting[1][4].
