UCF’s Andrew Phelan: Local lineman with real roster value
Andrew Phelan is a homegrown UCF offensive lineman from Orlando who redshirted in the 2024 season and entered the 2025 season as a sophomore left guard, giving the Knights a developmental blocker with size, familiarity, and upside. His most notable differentiator is that he stayed in the program, stayed on the roster, and kept working through a redshirt year — a good sign for toughness and patience in a trench player. He’s not a headline-grabber yet, but if you want a steady OL project with local roots and Big 12 fit, Phelan is the kind of player worth monitoring.
