Rutgers’ Zach Gleason gives the Scarlet Knights a battle-tested righty with swing-and-miss flashes
In the 2025 season, Zach Gleason emerged as a versatile Rutgers right-hander who could start or relieve, highlighted by a season-high five strikeouts in a three-inning start against Princeton and another strong outing with three strikeouts over two innings against Penn State. He’s a senior with strike-throwing feel and the kind of competitive edge coaches love: he settled quickly after early traffic and has shown he can handle multiple roles. The fit? He looks like a useful bullpen piece or spot starter for a team that values experience, poise, and some sneaky punch-out ability.
