Freshman SS Carson Moore brings polished infield value to San Diego State
Carson Moore is a 2026 freshman shortstop for San Diego State, listed at 6-foot-0, 170 pounds, and arriving from Del Oro High in Cameron Park, California[2][3]. The most important takeaway: SDSU clearly views him as a real roster piece, not a placeholder, which usually signals dependable hands, infield range, and a bat with room to grow[1][2]. He fits the classic “steady middle-infield” mold—young, athletic, and projectable—which makes him intriguing for teams that value defense, development, and upside over instant flash.
