Freshman DL Jesse Barker Jr. brings compact power to West Florida
Jesse Barker Jr. enters the 2026 season as a freshman defensive lineman at West Florida, listed at 6-foot-0 and 255 pounds, with a high-motor profile that fits a disruptive interior role[1][5]. His background note from UWF says he piled up 104 tackles and 19 sacks in his senior season, which hints at legit backfield juice and finishing ability[13]. He looks like a fit for a team that values leverage, effort, and a physical anchor up front; the downside is the usual freshman question mark: how quickly that production translates against stronger college linemen[1][13].
