Versatile Left-Handed Prospect Finding His Footing at Portland
The 2026 redshirt freshman outfielder brings multi-sport athleticism and switch-role flexibility to the Pilots. A multi-time All-Mt. Hood Conference selection from Central Catholic High School, Gehlen combines solid measurables (7.02-7.12 60-time, 81-88 exit velo) with the rare ability to pitch (72 mph velo) and play outfield. His left-handed bat and arm offer positional versatility, though he's still developing consistency at the college level. Best fit for programs valuing depth, athleticism, and long-term upside over immediate production.
