Stetson’s Loosely Controlled LHP Freshman with Elite 2.84 ERA and Controlled Delivery
Thomas Achey, a true freshman left-handed pitcher for Stetson Hatters, posted a standout 2.84 ERA across 19 innings in 18 games during the 2026 season, emerging as one of the team’s top relievers with a 2.51 ERA in key matchups. His differentiator lies in his simple, controlled delivery and arm looseness that enables consistent arm-stroke efficiency, paired with a 7.91-second 60-yard dash showing rare athleticism for a pitcher. Online profiles highlight his intensity, playful personality (“Ain’t it fun”), and clean commitment to Stetson. With no reported injury history and high intensity, Achey is a strong fit for teams needing a reliable, athletic LHP with room to grow—ideal for depth or future rotation roles.
