Samford’s instant-offense freshman guard is already turning heads
In the 2025-26 season, Francie Morris quickly emerged as a high-upside Samford guard, earning Southern Conference Sixth Woman of the Year and All-Freshman honors after averaging 7.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. She flashed real punch with a 26-point career high against Furman and added 24 against UNCG, showing she can score in bunches and change a game off the bench. Her value goes beyond box scores: she’s described as a tough, energetic playmaker with a track record of winning, plus a strong high-school résumé and 1,000-plus career points entering college.
