First Team All-Louisiana Utility Star with Elite Versatility and Academic Excellence
Kayleigh Lugowski is a standout utility player for Nicholls State, earning First Team All-Louisiana honors in the 2025 season and the 2026 SLC All-Academic team, proving she excels both on the field and in the classroom. Her differentiator is unmatched versatility: she led Sierra College in 2024 with 45 hits, 25 RBIs, and 5 home runs, then transitioned seamlessly to Nicholls as a freshman, posting a .292 batting average with 17 RBIs in 2025. Beyond stats, Lugowski is known for her intense preparation, leadership in the dugout, and a personality that elevates team morale—she’s the player coaches trust in any position. Though she entered the transfer portal in 2026 to pursue a master’s degree, her one year of eligibility remaining makes her a high-impact fit for any team seeking a reliable, multi-role athlete with championship intensity.
