High-upside Oregon DB whose game has been slowed by injuries and a crowded depth chart
In the 2025 season, Dakoda Fields was still more projection than production for Oregon: a former four-star cornerback ranked No. 75 in the 2024 ESPN 300 who appeared in only a handful of games, with injury and depth-chart traffic slowing his rise. He’s a long, athletic 6-foot-2 defensive back who drew notice for ball skills and upside, but the big question has been durability and consistency. If a team wants a high-ceiling developmental DB with real recruiting pedigree, he’s worth a look; if it needs immediate snap-count certainty, the fit is shakier.
