Wydell Clark Jr. Brings Big-Play Juice to Southern’s Receiving Corps
In the 2026 season, Wydell Clark Jr. flashed instant playmaking value for Southern with a 79-yard touchdown catch against Houston, a sign he can threaten defenses vertically and turn limited touches into points. He’s a compact 5'9", 170-pound freshman from Monroe, LA, and the early buzz is about explosiveness more than volume: he looks like a slippery, field-stretching weapon who can change a game in one snap. If you want speed, upside, and a receiver who can stress coverage, he’s worth a close look.
