multi-sport Vaquero with two-way upside and a competitive edge
In the 2026 season, Jayden Paluseo is a redshirt freshman pitcher for UT Rio Grande Valley who brings real athlete-shaped upside: he arrived as a dual-sport recruit, starred as a high school utility player, and showed he can help in multiple roles. At Flour Bluff, he earned District 29-5A South Zone Utility Player of the Year honors and posted a .302 batting line as a junior while also pitching, which hints at strong instincts, toughness, and versatility. He looks like a fit for teams valuing competitiveness, flexibility, and development potential rather than just raw mound polish.
