Lane Sumerel brings blue-collar linebacker production and proven playmaking to Morehead State
In the 2024 season at Ravenwood High, Lane Sumerel posted 88 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, four sacks and a fumble recovery, which screams active, disruptive linebacker play rather than just stat-padding cleanup work. He also carried a leadership reputation, was elected to a team leadership role, and was described as durable and dependable, having not missed a practice in his varsity career. At Morehead State, he enters as a 6-foot-1, 230-pound redshirt freshman with a PFL Honor Roll academic profile, giving a team a tough, high-floor linebacker who should fit best in a culture that values effort, discipline and reliability.
