Warren Hartzell brings veteran swing-and-miss relief value for Wright State
Warren Hartzell, a senior right-handed pitcher for Wright State in the 2026 season, looks like a dependable veteran arm with real bat-missing ability and multi-inning usefulness. In 2025, he posted a 6-3 record, a 5.18 ERA, 48 strikeouts in 41.2 innings, and 3 saves across 22 appearances, and in 2026 he opened with a strong four-inning, seven-strikeout outing against Campbell. He’s proven he can help in leverage spots, but the Vanderbilt regional also showed the risk/reward profile: good stuff, but some home-run vulnerability when the margin for error disappears.
