Mike Allison was a rugged Maine frontcourt anchor: high-rebound, high-block, low-drama
In his Maine career, Allison stood out as a tough, physical **F/C** who protected the rim and finished efficiently, leading the America East with **2.2 blocks per game** while also posting **6.9 rebounds per game**; ESPN’s college profile also lists him at **4.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 49.4% shooting**. His value goes beyond box scores: he brought interior defense, effort, and steady rebounding, making him the kind of dependable glue piece coaches trust when they need toughness and paint protection.
