Ohio’s steady senior bat with pop and versatility
In the 2026 season, Dylan Shepherd has been one of Ohio’s most reliable offensive pieces, entering the stretch as a senior who hit around .279 with an .829 OPS, 46 hits, 10 doubles, 5 home runs, and 34 RBI across 48 appearances/45 starts. He’s a C/INF with a compact 5'10", 207-pound frame, and the stat sheet matches the eye test: power to all fields, run-producing consistency, and the ability to handle multiple infield/catching roles. He looks like a tough, experienced fit for a program that wants grit, flexibility, and middle-of-the-order thump.
