No Current Blue Devils Standout – Proven HS Rebounder Turned D3 Coaching Star
No evidence of a Matt Hunter currently playing guard for Central Connecticut State Blue Devils; the closest match is a Detroit native averaging 14.1 PTS and 7.4 REB (career stats via ESPN), but unlinked to CCSU. A high school standout from Liverpool, NY, posted 9.9 PPG and 5.6 RPG in 2014-15 (MaxPreps), ranking top-41 in NY for scoring. Note: Matt Hunter is Gettysburg College's new head coach (2025-26), with a stellar 170-148 record at York (Pa.), including four 20-win seasons and NCAA second-round runs – elite recruiter/builder, not active player.
