Rebecca Rubio is Santa Clara’s spark plug: a leadoff-level bat with all-conference polish
In the 2026 season, Rebecca Rubio was an All-WCC First Team selection for Santa Clara, played in all 51 games, and led the Broncos with a .349 batting average and .429 on-base percentage while adding 12 steals and a league-high 19 double plays from shortstop. That profile screams impact: high-contact, high-IQ, and disruptive on the bases, with enough defensive versatility to handle MI/OF duties. She also brought academic and captain-level maturity, making her a strong fit for a program that values consistency, competitiveness, and a player who elevates the whole roster.
