Tate brings two-way juice and senior-level poise to Michigan State
Jocelyn Tate has been a versatile Michigan State guard/forward who impacts games with hustle, rebounding, and disruptive defense, and her 2024-25 stat line at MSU showed 7.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 1.8 assists per game[10]. She also showed real scoring upside, including a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double against Purdue in 2025[14]. The bigger reason to care: she’s more than a stat-sheet worker, with MSU reporting that she actively pushes against the “defensive specialist” label and wants to contribute offensively too[17].
