Clayton Weisheit brings size, strikeout upside, and Hoosier bullpen depth
Weisheit is a big-bodied right-hander (6'6", 230) whose calling card has been bat-missing stuff and starter-type durability: his high school résumé included a 7-1 record, a 0.34 ERA, 100 strikeouts in 62.1 innings, and four saves in 2023. Indiana used him as a sophomore pitcher in 2025, which suggests the staff sees real mound value beyond raw numbers. He looks like a fit for teams that want a power arm with room to keep developing command, but his college role and consistency remain the key questions.
