Hunter Brooks gives Ohio a sturdy right-handed arm with experience and strike-throwing upside
In the 2026 season, Hunter Brooks is a junior RHP for Ohio at 6'0", 185 pounds, with a transfer background from Wright State and a homegrown résumé from Greeneview High School. He’s the kind of arm coaches like because he brings experience, toughness, and depth to the staff; early 2026 game reports show he was used in relief and in leverage situations, which suggests trust. The hook here isn’t flashy velocity hype — it’s a workable frame, a competitive mound presence, and a pitcher who can fit if you want a lower-drama, high-utility righty with room to keep carving out a bigger role.
