Jamaria Charley brings speed, contact, and extra-base pop to S.C. State’s outfield
In the 2026 season, Jamaria Charley has been a spark for South Carolina State, hitting .336 with a .435 on-base percentage and contributing 47 hits, 8 doubles, 7 triples, 2 homers and 24 runs scored. She’s shown real game-breaking ability in the MEAC run, including a 5-for-9 series with two RBI, a double, a triple and a steal, and she was credited with a perfect fielding percentage in a March team note. What makes her intriguing: she’s a smaller outfielder with serious athletic pop, aggressive baserunning and timely production — the kind of player who can tilt a game with one swing or one turn around first.
