Valpo's Danish Big Man with Untapped Rim-Protecting Potential
Emil Freese-Vilien, a 6'10" Copenhagen native and Valparaiso Beacons center, has been a limited-rotation player plagued by injuries, appearing in just two games in 2020-21 and logging 6.6 MPG as a freshman in 2019-20 with 16 points, 15 rebounds, and 4 blocks on 62.5% FG; career stats sit at 0.9 PPG and 0.8 RPG. His strengths shine in efficient finishing, rebounding grit (6 offensive boards as a rook), and shot-blocking instincts, making him a high-upside project for teams needing raw athleticism and international flavor—perfect developmental fit if healthy, but injury history demands caution.
